• The De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) site is a higher education institution providing medical and aliied health education, health care and health research and innovation services, established in 1987, and is located in Dasmariñas City, in Cavite province, south of the capital city of Manila.
• Under the direction of Dr. Melchor Frias, IV the site was selected to participate in the Adults Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) PHOENIx Trial.
• The site is currentlyenrolling participants in the A5300B:Protecting Households On Exposure To Newly Diagnosed Index Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis Participants (PHOENIx) trial which is a trial in household contacts (HHC) at high risk for developing multidrug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) which is an infection that does not get better with standard treatment for TB.
